Comment: I have a 1700 sqft home built in 1911. When I put my hand on the exterior walls of the home from inside, they are freezing cold. I noticed on the cedar siding there are large drill holes every few feet leading me to believe that the previous owner had more insulation blown in at some point. Needless to say that insulation has settled and is now making the house very cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. I am interested in at least doing the first floor of the house with AirKrete to prevent further settling of insulation and creating a good vapor barrier too as I don't know the status of any tyvek on the home. I have not had an energy audit done but would love to hear your suggestions.

Comment: Please email me. We were considering replacing the 13 year old builder's grade vinyl windows, as we feel a lot of drafts. The estimate blew us away, so I started thinking about what else to do. We have some rooms that are very cold, so I thought of blowers in the ducts to help distribute the air better. I found your videos and realized that the air escaping in the attic could be CAUSING the windows to leak more than they would otherwise. I've started sealing the ducts with aluminum tape, and I'll be sealing the attic and sill plate as much as I can - or at least that's the plan. I don't know how much your services cost, or if you can service our area. If it works with our budget, it may be better to have you seal our attic instead. Please let us know. Phone calls from outside of the western NY area codes are blocked, so email is best unless you have a location nearby. Thank you for your time.
