Hello, I need an estimate for full home insulation (inside and out). We had it done 5-10 years ago but it was/is still cold in our house. We want it done again before we get our siding redone if possible. I was curious about the foam insulation vs the pink stuff they used. Attic insulation - looking for a quote. We were approved by NYSERDA and had a home energy assessment done by Betlem and have been approved by NYSERDA for a grant . but betlem is saying that they would not be removing the old insulation and did not mention air sealing at all. They only mentioned laying down plywood and then insulation. We are ready to call it off, and so have been doing our research on you tube and understand from Dr. Energy Saver that our exterior and interior wall plates, light fixtures etc. need to be air sealed and our existing insulation should be removed due to prior roof leaks before we replaced it and rodent damage.
