NY-GEO Top Job Award

Awarded on Thursday, May 23rd

Halco won the GeoStar 'Top Job' award for the installation of a high-quality geothermal system at the historic Noble House Fayetteville, NY. We were  among five companies who were chosen to present noteworthy geothermal (ground source heat pump) projects as finalists in the 2019 GeoStar Top Job Competition.

On Thursday, May 23rd, over 40 people attended the NY-GEO Top Job Award presentation to Halco and homeowner William Sunderlin.

Originally home to abolitionist Linnaeus Noble, publisher of Uncle Tom's Cabin, and across the street from the Matilda Joslyn Gage Center, this house has been heated with just about everything over the course of its history. Wood, coal, oil, gas... now, William has updated the home for the 21st century with better insulation and a geothermal heating and cooling system.

Even with the body heat from 40 people packed in two small rooms, the system efficiently kept us cool and comfortable on a very muggy CNY day!
