Thom is an energy professional with extensive experience in building energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy storage and management systems. With a proven track record in energy production, storage, distribution, and monitoring, he brings a broad skill set spanning solar energy, HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems design and construction. His expertise in project management, building codes, and service operations positions him as a resourceful problem solver committed to optimizing energy use and reducing waste.

Thom began his career as a residential energy auditor following years of hands-on work as an HVAC technician. Recognizing the potential for significant energy savings, he advanced into renewable energy science and technology, designing and installing geothermal heating, cooling, and energy monitoring systems for residential clients, followed by solar PV and solar thermal installations for both residential and commercial properties. In 2013, Thom earned his NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification, a milestone that propelled his leadership in solar development.

Since achieving PVIP certification, Thom has led and collaborated on residential, commercial, and community solar projects, including AC and DC system design and project management of New York’s first official Community Distributed Generation (solar farm) project. His leadership, technical expertise, and passion for sustainability enable him to deliver turnkey, high-quality energy solutions that advance clean energy initiatives and build long-term resiliency.
