Doing a remodel on a 120 year old house come summer (2024). attic has plank floor with ;blown-in insulation ceiling has open beams (2x6).

We bought a house last summer that has a side built in 1880 and a new addition built in 2009. The newer side is well insulated and efficient. The area built in 1880 is not. We thought it would be because basement and attics are spray foamed and look tight but it's still drafty and uneven. Would love to know if you could insulate walls (they have some old loose insulation but must be sparse) and air seal as well.

My window frame are always drafty in the winter and I use tape to control this with little benefit I need professional help because my bill is so high.
