The front door and side door (and possibly the windows) off the driveway show light when the doors are locked and when people back the car up to the house the exhaust from the tailpipes comes right into the house. I live with my elderly parents and my father can't seem to stop backing his car up to the door multiple times a day, so we really need a cost effective solution to keep the car exhaust out of this house because he's not going to change his behavior and in the summer months it seems like the wood around the door frames contract and these gaps appear wider (you can see more daylight coming through when the doors are shut and locked). Anyway, I REALLY need someone to come look at this and give me an estimate regarding how much it will cost to repair and improve the seals. We don't have a large budget, so I'm not sure if you can help, but it would be nice to know how we can make the air quality in this home safer since anytime anybody backs up in this driveway we are being exposed to this air pollution inside the house (and the driveway goes right up to this front and side door on the downstairs living room because the downstairs living room use to be the garage on the house but it was remodeled to be an open part of the house by one of the previous owners.) Please advise if you can help and how much we might be talking as far as money goes. Thanks in advance.
