Attic insulation

We started with removing the existing insulation then closing off all accessible penetration areas & top plates with expanding polyurethane foam to eliminate air loss. Then we installed a layer of 4" SilverGlo along the attic deck and covered with a 3/8" board to provide insulated storage platform which is then covered by our blown in TruSoft cellulose insulation. Lastly, we installed the David Lewis Hatch Cover of the attic steps which stops air leakage and insulates over the stairs. This is very lightweight & easy to move aside
