This customer was looking to properly insulate their attic for the upcoming below zero temperatures! After a quick response, our design specialist was able to recommended our SprayFoam and cellulose insulation solution, while still leaving room for storage!
After scheduling the best time with the customer, our Foreman Nicholas Woods led the installation of this project with help from a team. The crew began prepping by removing old insulation and built an area for the new insulation to be installed, alongside a safe area to store the homeowners items. Then they began the insulation process to help create a lasting and effective solution. Now this homeowner can relax in their healthy home!
This customer came to us expressing a need for an improved crawlspace on the cabin the had just recently bought. Knowing this was just a seasonal cabin for them, they wanted insulation for when they are there in the cold on occasion. One of our design specialists visited the house to provide a free, no-obligation, estimate. After a thorough inspection, it was decided that spray foam was the way to go.
One of our foremen led his group in this installation. They removed all debris, bagged it, and removed it from the site. From there they removed any remaining old insulation and fiberglass, and sprayed over the floor joists and duct pipe. After the job was done, this customer was able to enjoy there seasonal cabin year round and left the experience with a WOW impression.
This Aitkin, MN home was built in the 1980's. For the last 5-10 years the homeowner noticed some changes in the energy efficiency of the home. During winter months, there were ice dam buildups. In order to protect their new metal roof from ice damage, they knew they needed a permanent solution.
Our Dr. Energy Saver® Design Specialist Jacob Nustad-Peluso visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the insulation work. Foreman Orrin Sundberg and his production crew first removed old fireglass batting and insulation. Next, they applied a layer of closed-cell spray foam to air seal the attic floor and once cured, they covered the floor with our Tru-Soft™ cellulose.
Additionally, our team covered a wall that was prone to air leaking with SilverGlo™ rigid insulation, and wrapped the chiminey in rock wool to better seal the entire attic.
This homeowner now has a more comfortable home, as well as a permanent solution for protecting their new metal roof.
Duluth, MN homeowners wanted to seal their dirt crawl space. It had very little insulation, causing cold conditions for the room above it, and there were also issues with rodents and insects. After seeing our DBS trucks, they reached out to DBS about our crawl space encapsulation service.
Design Specialist Henry Jungbauer is an expert in energy-saving solutions and visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. After a thorough inspection, Henry drafted a custom-plan to seal this dirt crawl space and protect the home above it. Foreman Taylor Allen and his production crew installed drainage matting and CleanSpace® vapor barrier to aid in water protection. Our ultra-dense TerraBlock™ foam was used as well to provide a layer of insulation to the crawl space floor.
Around the walls, our team installed SilverGlo™ and sealed the gaps with spray foam. This will fully seal and regulate temperature in the space. These products work together to keep, cold air, moisture, and pests at bay.
The homeowner was happy with the work done, and now has a solid solution to protect their home year-round.
Homeowners in Duluth, MN reached out to DBS for help insulation their partially finished basement. Their goal was to be able to use the space comfortably year-round.
A Dr. Energy Saver® Design Specialist went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate. They used a thermal camera to measure heat loss and air flow, finding the rim joists to be a problematic area. The solution was to install a 3" inch layer of closed-cell spray foam to insulate the rim joists. This creates an airtight connection between the rim joist and exterior, eliminating outdoor air from entering the home.
A DBS Foreman and their production crew applied the 2-part expanding spray foam, sealing and insulating the rim joists from cold outside air. This finished basement room is now comfortable year-round!
