Owners of this cabin started to notice some dramatic shifting in the home's foundation. This was causing issues in the rest of the home, creating some windows and doors to become unlevel, and difficult to open. The homeowners learned about DBS via a referreral and reached out in search of a permanent solution.
One of our DBS foundation repair Design Specialists visited the cabin to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. It was determined that a lift procedure was needed to address foundation settlement. A DBS foreman and production crew replaced existing support beams and then used 12 Push Piers to lift and support the cabin structure. These piers are driven through the soil, down to the strata layer of rock, providing solid support to the home.

DBS Sales Manager Royce Bunn was the Design Specialist for the project and visited the home to provide a thorough inspection and estimate for the foundation support. It was determined that significant support was needed and our PowerBrace™ Wall Support system combined with a GeoLock™ Wall Anchor System was the best option. DBS Production Manager Kevin Steffey was the Foreman for this project. He and his crew installed 5 PowerBrace™ steel I-beams total and 6 GeoLock™ Wall Anchors.
Because the walls were bowing significantly, our crews needed to excavate soil on the outside of the home to restore the walls to their original position. The crew applied SentrySeal® and TerraBlock™ to give extra insulation and provide a waterproofing layer on the exterior wall.
