These homeowners in New Hope, MN, reached out to us at DBS, concerned about the integrity of their home. Our Appointment Center promptly set up an appointment for a thorough home inspection with one of our Design Specialists, who visited the property, and diagnosed the underlying issue as a flawed foundation. We recommended the installation of a Helical Pier© system, explaining its effectiveness in providing stable support for the home by anchoring it to solid, load-bearing soil or bedrock beneath the problematic foundation.
Our production team, led by Foreman Tate, took the lead on the project and installed the system, strategically placing the piers to lift and stabilize the foundation. Not only did the homeowner visibly appreciate the rectification in their home's structure, but they also found peace in knowing their home's foundation issues were conclusively resolved, protecting their investment for years to come.
Before, a glaring problem faced this Minneapolis home: the front porch's block wall was cracked and had unsettlingly settled, clearly visible in the 'before' photo. Understandably, this is a sight no homeowner wants to greet them. Enter our team at DBS. We applied our EverBrace® solution, designed not just for a quick fix but for unrivaled, long-lasting stability. The 'after' photo shows a transformed, secure structure—proof of our commitment to providing homeowners with a truly remarkable experience and result, perfectly aligning with our mission.
This homeowner in Saint Louis Park was concerned about the stability of her home. She had noticed a crack in the wall of her garage and wanted to get the problem fixed. After calling DBS, an appointment was set to have System Design Specialist, Rich Johnsen come out to the home for a free, no-obligation estimate. Following a thorough inspection on the day of the appointment, Rich was able to explain to the homeowner why the problem was happening and the best possible solution to fix it. He explained that the movement of the soil beneath the home had caused the foundation to move also. When this happens, pressure builds and the wall cracks in order to release some of the pressure. If the problem is not fixed, pressure will continue to build and the problem will only get worse. A permanent solution would be to install a PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System. This would keep the wall in place and prevent it from moving further. Through tightening over time, the braces will slowly bring the wall back into place. After a signed proposal, a date was set to have Foreman, Kevin Steffey come out to the home to install the system. Once the PowerBrace’s™ were professionally installed, the homeowner could rest easy in the safety of her home.
