Because the customer's existing panel was full, Halco technicians gave her the option of installing a new box or adding a sub panel. Installing a sub panel would require tandem breakers and because the customer had a significant amount of tandem breakers already, this was not the best option. Air-Source Heat Pumps Installed in Hector, NY

This is one of two air-source heat pumps installed for a Hector, NY customer. The heat pumps installed in this home are ductless split systems that, like air conditioners, have compressors and coils that the can evaporate and condense refrigerant. Unlike air conditioners, they are designed so you can reverse the cooling cycle, and move heat from the outside to the inside of your home. Air-source heat pumps have become a popular retrofit system for households that have non-ducted heating systems in place. All noisy components are outside of the living space and the customer's windows remain unobstructed.
