This is a side attic in Endicott, NY that was not insulated.
In this case, 4 inches of closed-cell spray foam on the roof decks was the best solution. As one part of a larger project, it made a big difference for the homeowner.

We removed the old fiberglass insulation and replaced it with closed cell spray foam. The floor above this space will now be much more comfortable and energy efficient.
