Along with air sealing, 12 inches of cellulose insulation was blown in. This will improve the comfort of the home as well as reducing energy usage.
Can lights and ceiling fans can be a major source of conditioned air leakage in the home. This can be remedied by installing and sealing a cover which also separates their moving parts and wiring from the TruSoft insulation.
This Nichols, NY homeowner had a double wide with a small addition. She had called us to see if she qualified for Empower work. Our guys went out a performed an HCE and we discovered that the fiberglass from the underbelly of the home was falling out leaving them uncomfortable and with very cold floors.
To make this home more comfortable and energy efficient for the homeowner, we tore out the old falling down, dirty fiberglass and put some Tyvek up then sprayed our closed cell spray foam to the underside of the mobile home. This fills in any gaps and cracks and creates a seal that won't allow the cold air to gain entrance inside. Our crew then replaced the skirting around the outside.

We sprayed 3 inches of closed cell foam to the roof deck and gable ends. Along with other aspects of the project, this made a big difference in the comfort level being consistent through the entire home.
