Rock Wool, a byproduct of steel manufacturing, has insulating and sound dampening capabilities. This can be an added benefit compared to traditional, fiberglass batt insulation.

SilverGlo Rigid Foam insulation panels installed on attic walls
A large piece of Silver Glo insulation paneling was a good way to help reduce some noise and improve the insulation for this attic space and the room it was accessed by.
Zyp Foam fills the cracks and gaps where air loss was taking place.
Spaces, where the air was previously able to move in and out of the attic, have now been sealed with spray foam. The roof is now insulated to keep outside temperatures from impacting the inside of the attic.
Opening up the space above this front porch, it exposed an unprotected area in the walls that was allowing external air and temperature to impact the rooms inside of the home.
With minimal insulation and a wall that faced the sun most hours of the day, this area was a hot spot in the attic.
