The top floor of this Cape Cod-style home was unbearably hot! Our "doctor" prescribed insulating and air sealing the roof of the home; dense packing the drywall in the cathedral ceiling of the home and air sealing and insulating the attic in Scott Depot, West Virginia.
This attic needed some TLC! We air sealed and insulated the space to improve energy efficiency, comfort, and prevent air from leaking out of the attic and into the living space. We used blown in insulation in this Charleston attic to completely fill all the gaps and reach the necessary R-Value.
We found this basement with lots of air leaks that gave the perfect pathway for air to travel from the basement and into the upper levels.
