This homeowner in Rocky Hill, CT called us hoping we would be able to help her with her attic. Her attic had a moisture problem that became a mold problem. Additionally, there were home comfort issues, and they were using the attic for storage. They had a large amount of air leaks that were contributing to the issues in the home. 

We had the perfect solution for this customer. Our solution is the the SuperAttic™ advanced conversion system. In this solution, SilverGlo™ EPS foam insulation board with graphite is installed on the underside of the roof deck. The graphite gives it superior R-value and a foil face on both sides reflects heat out in summer and back in during winter. The roof is still vented, kept cold in winter to prevent ice damming. In summer, excess heat is vented out. The attic is now part of the conditioned space in the home, and ducts in the attic are no longer in a hostile environment. The attic is clean, less dusty and suitable for storage. The homeowner can even finish their attic! 

This homeowner wanted to make his home more efficient.  Rim joists are rarely insulated and never sealed. This results in gaps between the framing which allows air to leak into the home.  Insulating the rim joist is one of the best things you can do to make your home more energy efficient.  Our team used our two part expanding spray foam to seal all the gaps.  No more air will leak into this home making it more energy efficient.

This homeowner wanted their upstairs to be more comfortable.  Our Team insulated this interior wall which was above a porch.  The porch was not a conditioned space allowing cold air to enter the home.  Our Team used our SilverGlo Expanded Polystyrene Foam insulation board.  SilverGlo is infused with graphite and specially manufactured with a radiant barrier on both sides to reflect roof heat out in the summer and house heat back in during the winter.  The upstairs of this home will be more comfortable throughout the year.

This homeowner had a cold kitchen.  Our Team installed our Foamax Insulation board on the basement ceiling to prevent cold air from leaking into the kitchen.  Our Foamax has the flame retardant properties to satisfy building codes to leave it exposed in a basement.  The kitchen in this home will be much more comfortable!

This home owner in Suffield, CT called us at Dr Energy Saver because she could not keep her home at a consistent and comfortable temperature. There where a couple of things going on in this home but one of the has to do with a vertical wall upstairs. The wall has a conditioned space on one side and an un-conditioned space one the other. This is a problem that we can easily fix. What we have to do is separate the conditioned from the unconditioned so we start by blocking the floor with our SilverGlo foam insulation. This stop the air from under the attic floor from seeping into the wall. Then we have to insulate that wall. To do that we take our 4 " SilverGlo and start to cover the wall with it. In between every piece we have to remember to air seal so no air can get through. Now that the blocking is in, the SilverGlo is up, and it is air sealed, this home owner can live more comfortable in her home!
