This beautiful home in Silver Spring, MD had a very large attic that they wished to turn into a bedroom.

Our Crew air sealed and installed spray foam insulation to the entire attic. This brought the attic into conditioned space and can now be used as a functional and comfortable bedroom for the family.

This home had a super deck that was falling apart, as well as very little insulation on the attic floor, and deteriorating insulation around the air ducts. Our Home Comfort Specialist recommended spray foaming the air ducts, restricting any air from leaking out of the ducts, while also keeping the ducts at a consistent temperature. The next step was blowing in a new layer of Cellulose insulation overtop of the existing cellulose to create a 16in blanket of insulation, this helps trap the conditioned air where it belong, in the house.  We finished this attic by installing a new super deck which now along makes this attic more energy efficient, but also a workable storage area.

Mark called Complete Home Solutions to examine uncomfortable temperatures in a few bedrooms of his Silver Spring, MD home. Following a full inspection from one of our Home Comfort Specialist, it was determined that the uncomfortable temperatures were due to old batt insulation in the cantilever below 2nd-floor bedrooms. Our Solution to this problem was to have our Home Comfort Technicians remove the old batt insulation, which is designed to allow air to flow through it, and replace it with our 2 part closed cell spray foam, which acts as a solid barrier restricting airflow through it.
