Greg called Complete Home solutions after another year of uncomfortable conditions in his Edgewater, MD home. In the winter months, she struggles to keep it warm, and in the hot summer months, the upstairs is unbearable.  Following a Home Energy Audit, conducted by one of our trained Home Comfort Specialist, it was determined that the condition of the home's attic was the main culprit in the home's uncomfortable home. On the day of the job, our Home Comfort Technicians began air sealing the attic with fire block spray foam.  The spray foam is applied to our recessed light covers, top plates, and any outlets in the attic to ensure that the air you pay to heat or cool stays in the living space of your home. The next step in this attic was to vent the bath fans out through the roof. If your fans are not vented properly, it can create moisture issues in your attic. The final step of this attic project was to blow in new Cellulose insulation, which creates a 16 inch barrier between the attic condition and the rest of your home. As you can see in this picture, we install rulers throughout the attic to show our customers just how much of a difference our insulation makes. Eric noticed an immediate difference, even in mild temperatures, and can't wait to see how his house performs in the hot and humid summer months ahead.

Mike had just moved into his Edgewater home when he began to go down the list of things to address by the home inspection. After taking a look at the crawl space and talking to the customer about their needs, our Home Comfort Specialist was able to recommend replacing the batt insulation in the floor joist and laying down a new vapor barrier. The insulation will act as a barrier between the temperatures that make their way into the crawl space and the home, keeping the home comfortable. The vapor barrier when bolted to the wall ensures that moisture is not coming up from the earth and creating problems in the crawl space.

This Ranch style home in Deale,Maryland was suffering from High Energy bills, and cold spots in the winter months.

Our Auditor performed a full energy assessment to determine where the home was leaking air. The Procution crew provided air sealing to prevent future air leakage. They also encapsulated the crawl space to lower the homeowner's energy bills, and improve the overall comfort of the home.

This home in Deale, Maryland was suffering from cold drafts in the house and called Complete Home Solutions to find the source of the issue. Our Auditor determined that the attic wasn't properly insulated and was the source of the uncomfortable temperatures.

Our Production Team applied cellulose insulation to the attic to insulate the space and keep the home at a more comfortable temperature and save energy.

Layne T. has this beautiful home in Deal, Maryland that she is in love with. The only problem that she had with it was that her rooms were consistently drafty and couldn’t keep her warm during the cold seasons. That’s why, this Fall season, she decided to call up Complete Home Solutions. 

We came out and performed one of our Home Energy Audits to diagnose some of Layne’s problem areas. We found that the majority of the problems stemmed from the crawl space. So we went ahead and removed the old insulation that was no longer effective and made a few installations, including a Smart Sump Crawl Space Drainage system and Closed Cell Spray Foam Insulation that we sprayed on the walls/rim joists in the space.
