Our customer faced a common and fixable issue, one we've seen many times before: attic mold! Mold, caused by moisture, was present on the sheathing in this attic, it was discovered a bath fan duct had come loose/disconnected and was in turn venting right in the attic. During inspection we found an unsealed and under-insulated attic. We used insulated duct to reconnect the bath fan to route outside the attic and disposed of the contaminated insulation, air sealed with ZypFoam™ and finished with TruSoft™ cellulose.
This home was for sale and remediation needed to be done before the sale was completed. We removed the mold with moldx2 and our customer was happy to for threw with this sale.
After a home inspection mold was found in attic
Before the sale, homeowners had inspection and remediation completed.
Our customer had a Home health audit stating their home could use more insulation to help with the energy bills. Our company removed insulation, air sealed can light covers, top plates and all wire penetrations to ensure no heat was escaping into the attic. We blow in R60 for 17" TruSoft Cellulose Insulation.
