Before our team visited this Gilbert, MN home, the homeowner’s crawl space was an uncomfortable and unappealing area, causing concern and discomfort whenever they needed to change their furnace filters. But just look at the transformation! By installing CleanSpace®, we've sealed up the space making it not just more inviting and comfortable to move through but also restoring the homeowner's peace of mind, confident their home is protected and enhanced.
When the Gilbert, MN homeowner contacted us, they were at their wits' end with a basement plagued by persistent water issues, escalating black mold concerns, and a strong desire to reclaim the space for simple uses like storage. As shown in the before photo, the situation was severe, with visible signs of moisture damage and the homeowner's futile attempts to manage it with buckets.
Determined to make a difference, we implemented our CleanSpace® and SaniDry™ Sedona solutions, as seen in the after photo. These solutions not only waterproofed the basement but also ensured it became a safe, dry, and usable area free from health-threatening mold.
The transformation is remarkable—the space is now more than just a basement; it's a valuable addition to their home, where previous concerns have been replaced with comfort and reliability.

This 1980's family home in Poplar, WI was having water issues in their finished basement. After learning about our work on local radio, the owners contacted DBS in search of a permanent solution.
DBS Design Specialist Rich Johnsen is our expert in basement waterproofing and visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate. After thoroughly inspecting the leaky basement, Rich designed a custom plan for a basement waterproofing system including our WaterGuard® french drain system and a new sump pump.
DBS Foreman Joe Harris and his crew installed our basement waterproofing products. First, they dug a trench around the perimeter of the basement and carried out the concrete. From there, they installed our WaterGuard® drainage system and surrounded it with gravel to encourage proper drainage. Once the drain system install was complete, they connected it to a SingleSafe™ sump pump and covered the drain with new concrete.
This homeowner now has a proven system for keeping water out of the basement.
This homeowner in Makinen, MN reached out to DBS because they discovered significant settling and cracking in their slab foundation, which supports a prefab home on concrete pillars. The settling had caused cracks extending back to the pillar support. The primary goal was to permanently stabilize and lift the settled slab foundation, addressing the settling issue and potential water leakage.
Our experienced foreman, Jordan Salmi, and his crew started on the project right away. They started by lift the slab and using our PolyLevel® foam to fill voids during and after the lift. Given the encapsulation plans, the team ensured PolyLevel application before encapsulation to avoid drilling through the CleanSpace® liner.
Additionally, the crew reinforced the slab with a thickened edge and rebar to provide lasting stability. The 3-part encapsulation process was implemented to address water leakage onto the concrete floor, particularly around the 30 concrete block supports. The NexusPro™ crack repair and joint sealant were applied to remedy existing cracks and prevent future issues.
Upon completion, the homeowners expressed satisfaction, noting that the project not only met but exceeded their expectations!
