SmartJack® System Installed in Taylors Falls, MN

A homeowner in Taylors Falls, MN reached out to DBS regarding a xrawl space issue they were having. The area was poorly stabilized by wood posts, and this was causing the floor above to sag downward. In need of a solution, the homeowner had a Design Specialist come out and give a free, no-obligation estimate for the crawl space service. It was concluded that the area would need to have a good amount of SmartJack® units installed (24 in all) to help provide support for the crawl space and sagging floor. Our crew successfully installed the SmartJack® System, and the homeowner can now be more comfortable with a stabilized crawl space.

This 1960's cabin in Deer River, MN had issues stemming from the structure's crawl space. It was prone to moisture and mold, causing odors in the rest of the cabin. DBS Sales Manager Royce Bunn was the Design Specialist for this project. He did a thorough inspection and crafted a proposal to totally encapsulate the space. First, our CleanSpace® high-performance moisture barrier was laid down on the dirt floor. A DBS Foreman and crew also installed a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier, connecting it to a SmartDrain®. From there, our crew installed both TerraBlock™ and Spray Foam insulation to completely seal the space.

This family no has a safe and dry space to enjoy for years to come!

Piers Installed Under Home in Deer River, MN to Level and Stabilize Settled Foundation

The owner of this home in Deer River, MN reached out to DBS for help with chipping paint in their basement.

Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo went out to the property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the homeowner. Upon completion of a thorough inspection, Henrik informed the owner of the settlement issues that he discovered through his inspection.

Foreman Tyler Nacey led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed piers beneath one corner of the home in order to lift and level the sinking part of the foundation. The crew finished the project by covering the holes with concrete for a flush finish in the basement.

Now that the foundation issues have been fixed, the homeowner can relax with peace of mind.

Foreman Isia Williams led the installation of this project. These steel i-beams are fastened to the joists of the floors and ceiling and are able to permanently stabilize on all of walls. They can also be adjusted in order to straighten the wall back to its original position. This homeowner can now relax knowing their home is stable and supported.
