Each i-beam is bolted to the slab of the basement and secured to the rim joists of the home. At the top of each i-beam is a bracket that can be tightened during dry months in an attempt to move the wall back to its original position.

A DBS Foreman led the installation of this project with assistance from a crew. Together they installed 8 push piers beneath the foundation of the home. Push piers work to lift and level homes from their settled state by being pushed into the ground with heavy machinery until they are secured in stable soil. During installation, the push piers experience massive loads while being installed-- heavier than the structure-- to ensure that once installed, they will not fail.
