Rat-Infested Attic Cleaned Up and Re-Insulated in Home Near Lowell, OR

These homeowners were unaware of the rat party that was happening in their attic. Our Energy Consultant found lots of evidence (see photo) and showed them what he found.

To help prevent the critters in the future, our crew removed all the old insulation, air sealed gaps (they can see these when they removed the old insulation; this is one reason we encourage homeowners to remove old insulation), and then blow in TruSoft™ cellulose to the R-49 level. Animals do not like to nest in the cellulose since it is treated with borate.

Old aluminum windows replaced in Dexter, OR

This client called us to have his old single-pane aluminum windows replaced on his Dexter, OR home.  He knew that they were not very efficient and also wanted smaller windows in some places.  Our crew replaced his windows with Simonton Verona vinyl windows, giving him much better energy efficiency!

No More Mold and Moisture Under Creswell, OR Home

This homeowner knew there were mold and moisture issues in his home.  One of the family has asthma; mold creates millions of spores, and you breathe air coming from your crawl space.

To solve the issues and prevent them from returning, this homeowner chose to have their crawlspace encapsulated.  Our experienced insulation crew removed all the debris and the vapor barrier, laid down the special matting, sprayed closed-cell spray foam on the foundation walls, and installed a SaniDry CX dehumidifier to assist with keeping the moisture level below the point that mold can grow.

Skylights in Creswell, OR Attic Sealed and Insulated with Spray Foam Insulation

After can lights, sky lights are bad for losing air you paid to heat. This Creswell, OR home’s skylight has the usual metal sleeve that hardly does any insulating. (see BEFORE photo) The air you pay to heat in the winter easily escapes in to your attic. In the summer, hot air comes down into the home from sky lights.

Our crew spray foamed over the skylights (see AFTER photo) before they then blew in new cellulose insulation in their attic. With the sky lights insulated, plus the new cellulose, these homeowners will be much more comfortable in all seasons.

Crawl Space Near Lorane, OR Insulated with Closed-Cell Spray Foam

This couple did research online for closed-cell spray foam companies and called us for an appointment. Their goals were to make their floors warmer in the winter and improve air quality in their home. About 50% of the air you breathe on the first floor comes in through the crawl space, so if a crawl space area is moldy or moist, or full of rodent feces, that comes in to the home.

This home definitely needed work as the underfloor insulation was ripped and hanging down (see BEFORE photo).

They chose us to install an average of three inches of closed-cell spray foam on the underfloor plus to seal the ductwork (see AFTER photo).
