Make Coraopolis home more comfortable year round

George from Coraopolis , Pa called Home Environment Solutions saying that no matter if she adjusts the temperature on his thermostat, his home is still cold in the winter and warm in the summer. We sent our expert Russ out to her home to perform a free home energy audit. Russ found old batt insulation, a non-insulated scuttle cover and unsealed penetrations such as wire and pipe runs.

We sent our insulation team out and they removed all the old insulation and disposed of it. Installed Silverglo along attic deck, installed titeshell over top of can lights and sealed with zipfoam. They also sealed and insulated scuttle cover, air sealed all penetrations interior and exterior and installed Trusoft cellulose.

Mold remediation and attic insulation upgrade in Moon Township, PA 15108

Angelo reached out after noticing a musty odor and visible mold in his attic. In addition to the mold concerns, the upstairs of the home experienced hot and cold temperature swings, making it uncomfortable throughout the year.

Our team addressed the problem at the source. We performed professional mold remediation in the attic, disinfecting and treating the affected areas. Contaminated materials were properly removed, and the attic was thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

While completing the remediation, we also upgraded the attic system to improve performance. We sealed and insulated the attic, encapsulated the duct system to reduce energy loss, dense-packed insulation where needed, installed insulation dams, sealed top plates, and improved attic access by installing a new pull-down ladder. These improvements also created better attic storage and safer access for future use.

With the mold eliminated and the attic properly sealed and insulated, Angelo’s home now smells clean, the upstairs temperatures are more stable, and overall energy performance has improved.

Stopping major attic air loss in Coraopolis, PA 15108

Chris reached out after being referred by another insulation company. His single-story home was experiencing cold floors, drafty rooms, and high energy bills. There was significant air loss throughout the home, making it difficult to maintain a consistent indoor temperature.

Our team focused on tightening the attic system to reduce energy loss at the top of the home. We sealed attic penetrations, sealed top plates, addressed chimney-related leakage, improved attic access, and upgraded insulation levels to strengthen the thermal boundary. By sealing these major air leakage points, we helped prevent conditioned air from escaping and outside air from entering.

After the work was completed, temperatures throughout the home became more consistent, drafts were reduced, and energy costs improved. The home now holds heat more effectively and performs more efficiently year-round.

Remediate mold and make Amity Pa home more comfortable year round.

John from Amity Pa called saying he thinks he has mold growth in her attic. He would also like us to see what she can do to make his house more comfortable year round. We sent our expert Russell out to inspect the microbial growth and to preform a free home energy audit.  Russell found microbial growth in her attic, old  insulation, non insulated pipe, wire runs and scuttle cover. Our crew first prepared the area by building a contamination barrier to protect the remainder of the home. They removed and disposed of all the old insulation, air scrubber in the attic, used a substrate cleaner to remove all organic contamination. After the growth was remediated they insulated the scuttle and walls with Silverglo, air sealed all internal and external penetrations with Zypfoam and installed Trusoft cellulose on the attic floor.

Attic mold remediation and insulation upgrade in Amity, PA 15311

John reached out because his single-story home was experiencing cold floors, drafty rooms, and visible mold in the attic. The cathedral ceilings made the comfort issues more noticeable, allowing heat to escape in the winter and making certain areas feel less comfortable overall.

Our team started by safely remediating the mold in the attic. We treated and sanitized the affected areas to restore a clean environment and prevent further contamination.

Once the attic was properly remediated, we focused on tightening up the home’s thermal boundary. We sealed and insulated the attic, sealed attic penetrations, sealed top plates, addressed chimney-related air leakage, sealed soffit areas, and insulated the attic access. These improvements stopped conditioned air from escaping and reduced drafts throughout the home.

With the mold eliminated and the attic properly sealed, John’s home now feels warmer, less drafty, and more comfortable. The attic is clean and safe, and the home performs more efficiently year-round.
