On install day our Home Comfort Technicians began by air sealing the gaps allowing the cooler air to escape followed by blowing in fresh cellulose insulation into the attic. This homeowner noticed an immediate difference and is now comfortable in every corner of their home.

After hearing about the BGE Home Energy Audit program, Arthur called Complete Home Solutions to give his home a full evaluation. After looking over the whole house including several key systems, our Home Comfort Specialist recommended air sealing the attic and making sure the insulation was up to code. On the day of the job, our Home Comfort Technicians began air sealing the attic with fire block spray foam.  The spray foam is applied to our recessed light covers, top plates, and any outlets in the attic to ensure that the air you pay to heat or cool stays in the living space of your home. The next step in this attic was to vent the bath fans out through the roof. If your fans are not vented properly, it can create moisture issues in your attic. The final step of this attic project was to blow in new Cellulose insulation, which creates a 16 inch barrier between the attic condition and the rest of your home. As you can see in this picture, we install rulers throughout the attic to show our customers just how much of a difference our insulation makes. Nicholas noticed an immediate difference, even in mild temperatures, and can't wait to see how his house performs in the future.

This beautiful home in Bethesda, Maryland was suffering from drafty rooms and high utility bills. The homeowner called Complete Home Solutions to see if we could help with their comfort problems.

We came out and performed a Home Energy Audit to try and pinpoint the problem. What we found was that the attic was way under-insulated. So, we took out the old insulation that the was already in the attic that was no longer working efficiently. After that, we were able to install polysio foam board on the knee walls and TruSoft Cellulose insulation all along the attic space, bringing insulation levels to R-49 (which is the recommended BPI standard for our climate zone). After these installations, the home owner no longer suffers from drafty rooms and feels comfortable in their home! 

Adi called Complete Home Solutions for one of our Home Energy Audits after she had noticed the temperature in the second floor was much different than the temperature on the first floor. They then blew in a new layer of Cellulose insulation that would create a barrier in the attic that traps the warm air where it belongs, in the home, not the attic.
