This homeowner was concerned about the insulation in their crawl space.  It was absorbing ground moisture, causing it to sag and deteriorate.  It also was allowing possible orgnaic growth issues and their floors above were uncomfortable.  Complete Home Solutions removed the damaged existing insulation.  We then completed an crawl space encapsulation with SilverGlo board.  Dimpled drainage matting was installed across dirt floor area, SilverGlo board was installed on the walls and the 20 mil Cleanspace liner was installed over the dimpled drainage matting.  The CleanSpace Encapsulation allowed us to create a clean enviroment in the crawl space and the result was increased comfort to the floor areas above.  This homeowner now does not have to wear socks to keep their feet warm. 

This Homeowner in Derwood, MD had a crawl that was in need of a upgrade. Open exterior vents and thinning insulation had allowed humid air to rise into the house in the summer and colder air to do the same in the winter. Amy called Complete Home Solutions to re-insulate the attic of her home, which had previously experienced water damage. During the measurements by one of our Home Comfort Specialist, it was also recommended to air seal the attic for better comfort and efficiency throughout the home. Our recommendation is normally Blown in Cellulose insulation, however, in this home, our crew installed multiple new layers of rolled batt.

This homeowner in Indian Head, Maryland noticed that his floors were always so cold in the winter, especially in the kitchen area. On top of that, his utility bills got astronomical. He found out about Complete Home Solutions and knew he had to call us.

We found that the crawl space was the main culprit. To fix the homeowner’s problems, we removed the old insulation that was in the crawl space ceiling (it was damaged), sealed the vents and ceiling with spray foam, and installed a vapor barrier along the floor. Now, the homeowner is living in a nice and comfortable house. 

This homeowner had two attics in her home. Neither of them were air sealed or properly insulated. The one pictured above had been constructed with the intention of using it as a storage area, but the owner wasn't really getting much use out of it. Instead, they had a big open space that was wasting a lot of energy and causing a lot of discomfort throughout the house. 

We went through and air sealed both attic areas (using mainly caulk and polysio foam board) to stop air from leaking in and out of the house. We then blew in closed cell cellulose insulation (bringing both attic up to 14" -- the recommended standard for our climate zone). This home has become much more comfortable since CHS came out.
