After our wildlife division had safely and humanely removed a raccoon from this homeowners' attic in Franklin Park, NJ, we were sent out to disinfect and reinsulate the attic.

This Dayton, NJ homeowner had a colony, or cloud, of bats in her attic, leaving a toxic mess of guano and urine throughout. The first part of the job was to remove the insulation that was destroyed by bat guano and urine. After the removal, we vacuumed, sanitized, and deodorized the entire attic until all remnants of a bat infestation were gone.
For this attic, we blew in 10" of fresh TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation. TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation is a safe, non-toxic type of insulation that is 85% composed of recycled material. This method of “blown-in” or “open blow” cellulose is the process of loosely spraying the material into the attic or wall cavities to create a dense, insulated space to slow air flow. Our cellulose insulation is also non-flammable as well as rodent and mold/mildew resistant, making it an all-around benefit to the attic!
This homeowner in Milltown, NJ had suffered through both a bat and raccoon infestation in his attic. Fortunately, our Little Rascals Nuisance Wildlife team were able to safely and successfully remove all the bats and raccoon from the attic and properly exclude them from the home. First, we carefully removed all of the contaminated insulation and then disinfected the entire attic. Next, we added TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation, which will fill the attic to its recommended insulation levels. TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation has a higher R-value than standard fiberglass insulation, has the highest Class-1 fire safety rating, is resistant to mold and pests, and is eco-friendly!
These homeowners in South Plainfield, NJ had a squirrel infestation in their attic. Fortunately, our Little Rascals team safely retrieved the squirrels, relocated them to a new, humane environment, and properly sealed up their entry point. However, as often happens, the squirrels made a mess of the attic. There were toxic droppings throughout the attic. When these droppings dry out or are otherwise disturbed, particles can become airborne and circulate throughout the home. If breathed in, these microscopic spores can trigger serious respiratory diseases. In addition, as often happens, the sponge-like attic insulation becomes contaminated from animal waste.
So we removed all the old & contaminated insulation and then disinfected the attic. Once we finished, we added TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation! TruSoft blown-in cellulose insulation has a higher R-value than standard fiberglass insulation, has the highest Class-1 fire safety rating, is resistant to mold and pests, and is eco-friendly!
