David from Fox chapel pa called Home Environment Solutions saying that every winter the upstairs of his home stays cold. David would like his home to be insulated better to save on energy costs and to be comfortable. We sent our expert Russell out to perform a free energy audit. Russ found a poorly insulated attic wit old loose insulation and a lot of wire and pipe runs unsealed. 

We sent our insulation team out and they first removed and disposed of all the old insulation. Insulated the attic wall with Silverglo, insulated the skylights and air sealed, insulated and sealed the attic scuttle cover, sealed all pipe and wire runs with Zypfoam and used blow in cellulose on the attic floor.

Kelly called form Pittsburgh Pa saying that her upstairs seems to never be cool in the summer and never really warm in the winter. She wants to know what Home Environment Solutions can do to make her upstairs more comfortable year round. We set her an appointment for Russell to preform a free Home Energy Audit. When Russ arrived he found old batt insulation covered in rodent dropping, unsealed penetrations and scuttle cover. 

We sent our insulation team and they  prepared the attic for installation of fresh, clean insulation.

With our partners over at Air Duct Maintenance, HVAC systems were cleaned and sanitized to NADCA standards. Microbial control and deodorizer were applied to the entire system, including coils and supply and returns.

By targeting both the contamination and the source of air movement, we helped stop the spread of airborne particles and improve overall indoor air quality. Now the home has cleaner air, a properly sanitized HVAC system, and better-controlled humidity -- creating a healthier living environment throughout.

We also addressed the lower part of the home by insulating and sealing rim joists, which are a common source of drafts and air leakage.

By improving both the attic and lower levels, we were able to control airflow throughout the entire home -- not just one area. Now the home feels less drafty, holds temperature more consistently, and operates much more efficiently.
