Attic Insulation in White Plains, MD

Suzanne called Complete Home solutions after hearing from a friend how much more efficient and comfortable her home was. Following an energy audit conducted by one of our Home Comofrt Specialist, the recommendation was made to address the poorly insulated attic of the home . On the day of the job, our Home Comfort Technicians began air sealing the attic with fire block spray foam.  The spray foam is applied to our recessed light covers, top plates, and any outlets in the attic to ensure that the air you pay to heat or cool stays in the living space of your home. The next step in this attic was to vent the bath fans out through the roof. If your fans are not vented properly, it can create moisture issues in your attic. The final step of this attic project was to blow in new Cellulose insulation, which creates a 16 inch barrier between the attic condition and the rest of your home. As you can see in this picture, we install rulers throughout the attic to show our customers just how much of a difference our insulation makes. Suzanne noticed an immediate difference, even in mild temperatures, and can't wait to see how her house performs in the hot and humid summer months ahead.

Attic Insulation in White Plains, MD

After moving into her White Plains, MD home last year, Evelyn had a Home Energy Audit conducted by Complete Home Solutions to determine how energy efficient the house was. Following the Audit, our Home Comfort Specialist found several areas of the home that could be enhanced to improve on home efficiency and home comfort.  Evelyn followed all of the recommendations and began to chip away at each project. Our crew began by first fully encapsulating her crawl space. They then installed a new mini-split HVAC system, and the final improvement was to properly air seal and insulate the attic. As you can see above the attic had old fiberglass batt insulation that was well below current standards to keep the home properly insulated. To fix the comfort issues our crew began by pulling back the old insulation and air sealing any recessed light covers, top plates, and cracks in the drywall then blew in a fresh layer of cellulose insulation to give this home a proper 16 inches of insulation. By air sealing it prevents any conditioned air from escaping the living space of your home, and adding insulation creates a 16in barrier between the attic temperature and the rest of your home.

Evelyn home has now been properly insulated and sealed from top to bottom. These steps will help keep her home comfortable all year round, and also help her HVAC system run less, saving money on monthly utility bills.

Crawl Space Spray Foam in Bladensburg, MD

This homeowner from Bladensburg, Maryland was having a difficult time keeping his house warm. Certain rooms would be an okay temperature, but other areas would get to be extremely cold and uncomfortable. Fortunately, he came across Complete Home Solutions.

An energy audit lead us to the root of the problem. The crawl space in this house had some old insulation in the ceiling, but there was nothing really keeping the cold air from creeping in. We corrected this by taking out the old insulation and replacing it with a spray foam that would act as both an air sealant and an insulator. This improvement has drastically changed the comfort of this house for the better!

Crawl Space Insulation in Riverdale, MD

Inadequate crawl space insulation allows outside air to seep into your home. Having proper sealing in the crawl space prevents moisture from coming into the crawl space which allows the the existing insulation to sag.

The homeowners of this house in Riverdale, Maryland had complaints of cold floors this winter and uncofortable temperatures in the 1st floor of thier home. Complete Home Solutions' auditor determined that the problem was no insulation in the crawl space allowing cold air to seep into the home and no sealing on the floor allowing potentially damaging moisture to enter the crawl space. Our Production Team installed insulation in the home and sealed the space to prevent moisture from coming into the crawl space.
